About me

the owner & Founder of The Bullpen Co.

Hey y’all! I’m Sam Montes-Moore, a former Division 1 softball player from Texas, proud wife, and passionate coach. Softball has been part of my life since I was a little girl, and I’ve been blessed to play at both Baylor and UT Arlington, highlighted by a trip to the Women’s College World Series my freshman year.

This business is all about pouring that experience into the next generation of girl athletes. For me, pitching is as much mental as it is physical, and I’m here to help players grow in skill, mindset, and purpose. I share my faith openly because I believe your identity is found in Christ, not in your performance. Softball is what you do, it’s not who you are.

Follow along for softball training, mindset coaching, and faith-filled encouragement to grow not just as an athlete but as the individual God created you to be.

Sam had a record-setting high school career at Burleson High School from 2010 to 2013. She still holds multiple school records, including 337 strikeouts and 16 home runs in a single season (2011), as well as career records for shutouts (47), no-hitters (33), perfect games (11), and an incredible 128–15 pitching record. During her four years, her team went 52–2 in district play and made a deep playoff run to the fifth round in 2013. She earned numerous honors including 2013 District MVP, 1st Team Star-Telegram Super Softball, 2012 Johnson County MVP, District Pitcher of the Year, and was named an Under Armor All-American in 2011. That same year, she also finished 2nd in the PGF national championship.

After high school, Sam played Division 1 softball at Baylor University and the University of Texas at Arlington. At Baylor, she competed in the Women’s College World Series in 2014, helping the team secure a third-place finish. At UTA (2015–2017), she threw the third no-hitter in program history and was named Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week twice. She earned Second Team All-Conference honors and was a key contributor throughout her collegiate career. Her club team, Texas Glory, also saw national success with top finishes at PGF Nationals 2nd in 2011 (3rd in 2013), TPC Colorado Fireworks (3rd in 2013), and ASA Gold Nationals (4th in 2012).

In all labor there is profit, But idle chatter leads only to poverty.
